This grand opening took place on December 10, adding to the long list of golf courses Price has designed across the globe, including exotic locales like Spain and Africa. Soleta Golf Club didn’t pop up overnight; it was a massive project that took just 11 months to complete. Price and his talented team moved more than one million cubic tons of earth to turn a plain, flat pasture into a stunning 7,400-yard course. What makes this golf course particularly unique is the extensive use of bright-white native sand, which beautifully frames every hole and influences almost every shot. “It was the sand that I really liked,” Price shared in a recent interview. “We have a nice mix; it’s not overpowered by too much sand, too much grass, or too much water. Price was adamant about creating a diverse golfing experience; he included free-flowing tees, with some extending up to 125 yards.
