Get ready, golf fans! The PGA Tour has just announced the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour season schedule, and it’s shaping up to be a thrilling ride with 26 events spread across seven countries and a whopping 16 states. This marks the 35th year of Korn Ferry Tour competition, and the tour promises to bring plenty of nail-biting moments, especially with a record-breaking performance fresh in our minds.
The excitement kicks off in the beautiful Bahamas in January, turning heads as players hit the greens in paradise. But that’s just the beginning. The first six events will take place internationally, whisking players and fans away to stunning locations, including some amazing stops in South America. After this whirlwind start, the tour will return to the United States for three weeks before heading south to an event in Mexico. Talk about a globetrotting season!
This year, fans can look forward to 10 televised events, ensuring that you won’t miss any of the heart-pounding action. Notably, the tournament will feature a fresh new format for the Korn Ferry Tour Finals, consisting of four events that will be broadcast on Golf Channel. Mark your calendars! The Finals kick off with the Simmons Bank Open for the Snedeker Foundation from September 11-14, 2025. Following that, get ready for the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship from September 18-21.
Big changes are in store for the Compliance Solutions Championship, which is now joining the prestigious Korn Ferry Tour Finals lineup. The championship will be hosted at The Patriot Golf Club in Owasso, Oklahoma, after its previous two years at Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club in Norman. Given the upward momentum, it’s looking like a fantastic addition to the Finals!
The Korn Ferry Tour season will come to a grand finale with the Korn Ferry Tour Championship on October 12, 2025, leaving fans eagerly anticipating the end-of-the-year showdowns and potential upsets. With such a packed schedule, golfers will be vying for top spots, creating a dramatic finish to the season.
Del Solar achieved this incredible feat by making six birdies and two eagles without any bogeys – talk about a flawless round! He started strong, completing the front nine in just 27 strokes, matching the record for the lowest nine-hole score on the Korn Ferry Tour. Not only did he maintain this stellar performance on the back nine, but he also managed another three birdies and an eagle. What a stunning display!
The course, laid out as a par-70 and measuring 6,254 yards at a high altitude, provided perfect conditions for achieving such remarkable scores due to recent rains. Players were even allowed to play from preferred lies given the soggy greens, which further aided in crafting low scores.
With soft greens and favorable conditions, Del Solar noted that players could use shorter clubs for their approaches, which helped in keeping the scores low. The longest club Del Solar used on the green was a 6-iron, showcasing how meticulous approach shots played into his record-breaking round.
After this historic achievement, Del Solar now leads the tournament by four strokes but maintains his focus on the upcoming challenges. A former Florida State golfer who turned professional in 2017, he has already notched up four wins on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica circuit and is now looking to leave his mark on the Korn Ferry Tour. As one of the promising rookies from last season, he currently ranks 14th in points for the ongoing season and has a world ranking of 259. One thing’s for sure—golf lovers everywhere will be keeping a close eye on his performance!
