Golf enthusiasts, you’re in for a treat! The Marshall Women’s Golf Team is revving up for an exciting Spring 2025 season, kicking things off at the much-anticipated 2025 Columbia Classic. This year’s tournament is poised to be a remarkable showcase of talent and skill at the breathtaking Duran Golf Club, where the course stretches over a stunning par-72 layout that measures 6,312 yards of pure golf bliss, all set against the backdrop of sunny skies.
Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 8, when the action gets underway with a shotgun start at 8:30 AM. The excitement will be palpable as players take on the challenge of completing a staggering 36 holes of competitive play throughout the day! And just when you think it can’t get better, the finale arrives on Sunday, February 9, starting at the same early hour, promising to keep fans on the edge of their seats as every stroke counts in the final round!
This year’s Columbia Classic is set to be an exhilarating contest, with Marshall going up against 11 other collegiate teams. Notable competitors joining the fray include Columbia, Boston University, Dartmouth, Duquesne, Emory, Illinois State, Penn, Princeton, Quinnipiac, Seton Hall, and Youngstown State. Each team brings its own unique drive and vigor to the greens, highlighting what promises to be a truly electrifying tournament!
The Marshall squad is composed of determined players ready to leave their mark: Emily McLatchey, Madison Borders, Abbey Bull, Olivia Kochan, and Savannah Hawkins.
