Starting June 5, travelers can hop on a flight to the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport, operating three times a week. This route is particularly special as it will be the only nonstop connection between Fort Lauderdale and Chattanooga. Known as the “Scenic City,” Chattanooga is bursting with southern charm and outdoor activities that make it a must-visit destination. From beautiful mountains to lovely parks, outdoor enthusiasts will find plenty to explore as the summer warmth sets in.
But that’s not all! Spirit Airlines is also set to start flights to the Columbia Metropolitan Airport on June 6, also running three times per week. With its rich history, vibrant culture, and numerous entertainment options, Columbia is sure to please visitors of all kinds.
This exciting expansion is part of Spirit’s plan to grow and thrive after facing some tough times financially. The airline is coming out strong as it exits bankruptcy, having secured backing from well-known investors like Ken Griffin and others. As they re-establish their foothold in the skies, Spirit is also refreshing its operations with a restructured fleet and a new tiered fare system that will cater to various travel preferences.
Travelers should take note: introductory fares for these new routes are starting at an eye-catching $50 one-way for select travel dates! Tickets for these exciting new connections will need to be booked at least 14 days in advance and will be available for purchase until March 20. So, if you see the opportunity for a great deal, act fast!
