"Cadmus Dental Lab Expands Operations for Global Reach"

Tampa Expands Cadmus Dental Lab and Readies for Global Markets

Tampa, Florida – Cadmus Dental Lab, a prominent creator of dental prosthetics, is set to significantly expand its operations as the company signs a new lease for a larger facility. The Tampa-based business plans to transition from its current 8,000-square-foot space to a new location encompassing 21,400 square feet at 5701 East Hillsborough Avenue in the NetPark business park.

The expansion comes amid impressive growth projections, with company officials expecting to double their current workforce of approximately 50 employees within the next three years. By December 2024, Cadmus Dental Lab aims to achieve revenue goals of $60 million, bolstering its role in the dental industry.

Cadmus’s Vision for Growth

Founded by Kelly Boyd-Rivera, who is one of only three women worldwide to own a dental lab, Cadmus initially opened its doors in January 2022. Boyd-Rivera aims to take the company global by 2025. “We want to secure manufacturing outside the U.S. due to potential tariff impacts,” she stated. Locations being considered include Vietnam for clinical trials and various sites in Europe and the Middle East.

This past month, the company launched Cadmus Academy, a nonprofit initiative dedicated to offering free education to partner dentists. “Many dental students do not graduate with the necessary education, and this academy is our way of giving back,” remarked Boyd-Rivera. Quarterly summits will be held at their facility, with attendance expected to range from 100 to 300 doctors.

Community Impact and Staff Welfare

Cadmus Dental Lab is not only expanding its service offerings but also showing a commitment to its employees. Boyd-Rivera has been vocal about the support provided to team members affected by recent hurricanes, with 20% of employees experiencing significant losses. The company organized a GoFundMe campaign, which garnered considerable support from vendors and customers alike.

“Our employees are our unsung heroes,” Boyd-Rivera stated. “Seeing the nationwide support has been heartwarming.” This approach emphasizes the company’s commitment to creating a positive and supportive workplace culture.

Transforming Challenges into Opportunities

In the face of various challenges, Boyd-Rivera continues to focus on building a legacy for her team and family. “Life hasn’t been without challenges, but my father taught me to ‘pay it forward,'” she said. Her drive not only extends to her business success but also to inspiring others, particularly women who may be facing personal struggles.

Having experienced trauma firsthand, Boyd-Rivera is an advocate for individuals navigating difficult circumstances and advocates for survivors of domestic violence. She believes there is hope for anyone willing to pursue their dreams, stating, “If I can run a $60 million company, others can too.” Such resilience underscores the ethos of Cadmus Dental Lab, making it a beacon of hope and inspiration within Tampa and beyond.

Future Outlook

As Cadmus Dental Lab prepares for its next chapter, the expansion not only represents growth but also the potential to impact the dental industry on a global scale. Their plans to hire additional staff reinforce the belief that strategic growth can provide opportunity and stability for local employees.

With ambitious goals on the horizon, Cadmus Dental Lab continues to embrace community engagement, workforce expansion, and educational initiatives, ensuring it remains at the forefront of innovation in the dental field as it makes strides toward becoming a global leader.
