Tampa is buzzing with anticipation as Aerial Dragons Studios prepares for their sensational youth and adult showcases. With an array of aerial apparatuses at their disposal, including silks, rope, stationary trapeze, lyra, and hammock, these talented teenagers are ready to enchant the audience.
Among the rising stars are three enthusiastic teenagers. Lillian Boyle, a 15-year-old inspired by the hit movie “The Greatest Showman,” has embraced the world of aerial arts. She joined the youth program about a year ago, and it’s safe to say she’s been soaring ever since. Joining her is fellow 15-year-old Aubrie Beaudin, who has performed at Aerial Dragons for nearly nine months. Aubrie finds joy in the self-expression that comes with aerial arts. She’s been flipping and twirling with passion, showcasing her love for this captivating style of performance.
Then there’s 13-year-old Sofia Siffermann, who discovered Aerial Dragons after attending a Renaissance Fair. Sofia was particularly drawn to the daring drops she witnessed that day, motivating her to learn more about aerial arts. All three girls have come to love both the challenges and triumphs that come with practicing these skillful routines.
After 12 weeks of intense preparation, Lillian, Aubrie, Sofia, and their fellow performers are ready to take center stage at the upcoming spring showcases. The youth performance is set for March 28 at 7 p.m., followed by the adult showcase on March 29 at the same time. Tickets for this thrilling experience are priced at $35, making it an affordable outing for families and friends eager to support their local performers.
Aerial Dragons Studios boasts around 200 active members, creating a vibrant community where participants can not only refine their aerial skills but also forge lasting friendships. The teenagers have discovered that their shared love for aerial arts has resulted in strong connections and camaraderie. With the showcase around the corner, it’s natural for nerves to settle in, yet they are looking at it as an exciting opportunity to shine.
Jessica King, the owner of Aerial Dragons Studios, passionately emphasizes the multitude of benefits that come from practicing aerial arts. From developing critical upper-body and core strength to boosting confidence levels, aerial training is a holistic approach to fitness. Notably, it enables participants to tap into their creative sides while providing a rush of endorphins that uplifts their spirits and enhances self-esteem.
