Tampa, FL — The Tampa Bay Chamber has awarded Ronald A. Christaldi the prestigious 2024 H.L. Culbreath Jr. Profile in Leadership Award. This award is a celebration of individuals who have shown exceptional leadership and made a significant impact in the Tampa Bay community. The announcement was made recently at a public ceremony, highlighting Christaldi’s extensive contributions to local governance and development.

Christaldi, a prominent attorney and community figure, has chaired the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council and Leadership Florida. He is also involved with various nonprofit organizations and has played a critical role in rewriting Tampa’s city charter. Expressing his gratitude, Christaldi described the award as “an incredible honor” and emphasized the importance of giving back to the community that has supported him.

Changes in Business Leadership

In other news, AIC Architecture has named Andrew Matson as its new president to coincide with the firm’s 35th anniversary. Matson succeeds Mike Puckett, who will continue to serve as a senior advisor to ensure a smooth transition. This change is part of AIC’s strategic planning as it prepares for continued growth and innovation in architectural services.

Meanwhile, TICE Florida, the operator of Popeyes restaurants across the state, has appointed Thomas Stager as its new chief executive officer. The Museum of Science & Industry in Tampa has announced ambitious plans to open the second-largest digital dome planetarium in the United States by 2025. This project aims to transform the existing dome into a cutting-edge facility designed to promote STEM education and community engagement in scientific pursuits.

Additionally, the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce is set to host its Annual Meeting and Awards Celebration on December 11, 2024, at the prestigious Centre Club, sponsored by Tampa General Hospital. In keeping with community traditions, Summit Design + Build has also begun construction on a new location for Alessi Bakery, a beloved Tampa institution with a rich history spanning over a century. Lastly, Metro Development Group is embarking on an ambitious project in Manatee County, where it is constructing a four-acre lagoon within a new development called Seaire. This innovative community will feature 3,000 homes and commercial spaces designed to offer an engaging urban environment surrounded by natural beauty.
